  1. Much appreciated, Screwy Nick, but I could never do it justice. Your project turned out incredible and I'm afraid that mine would end up on the work bench with all the other half finished things I've got going right now (mental note: I must quit my day job). Of course a cool rotary would give me a reason to go outside in the winter and freeze! It's 8 degrees right now..... Brrrrrrrrrr!!!!! -Kevin.
  2. Oh, goodness! I've never taken Sean seriously before. I'm not gonna start now! . -Kevin.
  3. Awesome! Congrats, Screwy Nick! Now, pack it up and send it to Buffalo, we got snow today. -Kevin.
  4. Uh oh! Looks like snow is on the way for you. You just might need to call the rotary into service. -Kevin. BTW- Sunny here in Western New York, today. Supposed to be in the 40's by Monday. I just might put on some shorts and go wash the truck out in the driveway.
  5. Send it to me in Buffalo. Snow is on the way..... -Kevin.
  6. Adhesive??? Adhesive??!!! But, you are "Screwy Nick!" WE DON'T NEED NO STINKING ADHESIVE!!!!! Now then, show us more screws. -Kevin.
  7. I think the New York Central used to do that as well. http://www.hazegray.org/rail/snow/other/nyc01.jpg -Kevin.
  8. Nice looking layout! As Sean said- Show us more! -Kevin.
  9. So, it's official? No more Nick Jr? Long live Screwy Nick!!! -Kevin.
  10. I think the USAT MOW cars and caboose are 1:24. The caboose might be old Delton line, but again, I'm not positive. Oh, and by the way, this thread is really cool. I'm not ready to build a rotary, yet, but someday...... I mean, hey, I live in Buffalo. I need a rotary. Keep up the great work. -Kevin.
  11. Cool picture, Ray. -Kevin.
  12. I'd be interested in that video. -Kevin.
  13. AMAZING!!! Thanks for posting the video. -Kevin.
  14. Loco- While a pole sander and scotch-bright pad will work great on the rail heads, it pretty much cannot get in to the tight areas of the rail connectors. I've used some QD Contact Cleaner made by CRC (Home Depot sells it) to clean some of the smaller items like rail connectors. It's meant to clean oxidation off of electronic parts (copper/brass parts). Hope this helps. -Kevin.
  15. I've got the Bachmann rollers. They work well. -Kevin.
  16. Wow! Those engines look and sound amazing! And great smoke, too! Nice job. -Kevin.
  17. I've used large diameter corrugated drainage pipe for a tunnel liner with dirt piled on top. I get it for free at road construction sites. They usually have some 2-3 foot scrap cut offs for the taking (ask first, of course). Free is good! Hope this helps. -Kevin.
  18. Gotcha, Ray. I didn't realize that the AML stuff was only offered in straights, not curves. With the unfortunate demise of Aristocraft, I wonder how difficult it will be to find Aristo stainless track? If worse comes to worse, maybe Mike can find enough Aristo stainless curves and fill in the straights with AML. Just an idea. -Kevin.
