Lewis Polk passed away. He will be missed! Tom

  4. I don't know anything about that LGB loco, Look at the Train Engineer Revolution product line. http://www.revoelectronics.com It is a good system for sound on a DC layout. Tom
  5. Garden Railways Magazine had a two part series on building turnouts. It was in June 2009 & August 2009 issues. Tom
  6. There is shelf lining that is non-stick. Can be cut to shape as needed. That should keep things in place. Tom

  11. I tried about 4 times by clicking on the link. Then I did a "save link as" a couple of times before it finally worked. Gremlins are afoot. Tom
  12. Jerry Your link is broken. Try this one. http://www.g-bits.co.uk/index.html Tom
  13. To ? It looks like a real problem with the track about in the middle of the left side in the picture. There appears to be a dip in the track. I don't see wheels slipping when the train slows down. Looks like it runs out of gas (electrons). Tom
  14. Download the manual for the Revolution Base Unit from the Crest site. It will tell you all about it andhow to hook it up. Tom
  15. The 57004 may be used as an onboard receiver for higher power locos. This has been done by many 1:29/1:32 scale modelers. It is done with track power or battery power. The 57004 is sound capable. It does not function at this time. It will work after the USB adapter becomes avaliable. The 57000 SD or SS are avaliable now with sound. Output is limited to 5 amps. The sounds are generic and limited, but are acceptable to many people. Tom
  16. You will find the latest LS Anniversary Edition 4-6-0 has metal gears. http://shop.bachmanntrains.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=255_433_436&products_id=2894 There are complete chassis avaliable for the 4-6-0. I don't know if the metal gears are avaliable separately. I think you will find the 4-6-0 is a BigHauler series and not a Spectrum loco. Tom
  17. Jim What is the wheel arrangement of the locomotive? Tom
