Ed Headington
That is one awesome locomotive "consist". Can't wait to see it towing a train of cars out on your railroad.
SteamPower4ever
First run - on Stefan's layout. No cars in tow, just a test run.

SteamPower4ever
Just for fun, here's the F7 side by side with my N scale Super Chief. The scale difference is exactly 1:5 ...

enginear joe
Yes... Wow! Makes it look like the model next to the real ones! The shelf gave it away. Take that picture outside with the sky in the background.
Rayman4449
I missed the video the first time, looks great and you have done an exceptional job on your layout! Very clean and neatly done.
SteamPower4ever
Thanks, but I shall pass the kudos on to my friend Stefan whose layout it is. Stefan's layout building skills are way better than mine, but as I am leaving my club which currently seems to have neither rudder nor men at the helm, Stefan's layout and garden is the home turf
SteamPower4ever
Today I received carrier and storage cases for the F7s from my favourite woodfitter. European readers may recognise the cases as being the work of Mr. Jorissen of the Netherlands. Jens
Ed Headington
WOW!! Those are awesome cases to say the least. That guy does nice work!!!
SteamPower4ever
He does nice work indeed. I have a similar case for my BR50 steamer. To avoid the hassle of lifting out the engine and tender, I've fitted a length of track to that case. That way I can drive the engine straight into and out of the box. You can see it at the end of this video:

enginear joe
I just got these in. I still need to fix the couplers. They were set-up wrong. Screens are crushed in from picking them up incorrectly.
enginear joe
BTW, I bought these with the understanding that they were in rough shape and maybe not even running. Fact is they test ran great. The trailing A looks barely used. So once again I don't have the heart to gut them for more scratch builds. Urrggg! and my girl once again lectured me when they showed up. What the heck is that!?? (3 units come in a really big box.)
